This is Jethro, my rescued Belgian Malinois. He was 3 months old when I rescued him. He had not been socialized, leash trained, or house broken. He was so malnourished that his ribs showed and he was undersized. He was not a cute cuddly puppy, he looked like a miniature adult. I had trained a lot of dogs, but never one like this! I almost gave up because I thought he was so unhappy. He did not respond to the female voice, he was unruly, high energy, disobedient, destructive to my house plants! He was reactive to people and other dogs except for my female Akita, who was quite old and who he insisted in playing too rough with and I had to keep them apart when outside. But slowly, but surely he began to make progress and so did I in learning about this breed. He overcame malnourishment and today is full size for an almost two year old. He is highly intelligent, anticipates my every move, knows many words and commands, is protective of me, but okay with who I say is okay, is obe...
I have loved photography since I was a child with my first camera and black and white film and now my hobby has also become a business. Digital photography and digitally enhanced photography is fun. Jethro is a beautiful boy Barbara! I see many Malinois end up in shelters because people don't do their research on the breed , not realizing how intensely intelligent and what an extreme drive that they have, a true working dog. They end up there because they're bored and they act out. It sounds like you've done a wonderful job with him, kudos to you for going the extra mile...most never make it out of the shelters. Jethro will pay you back in spades! This is one boy who will never leave your side
